Congress of Future Medical Leaders in DC

My name is Kyndal Hunt. I am a junior at Boaz High School in Alabama. I have been selected to attend the National Academy of Future Physician's Congress of Future Medical Leaders. I have also been awarded the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence. Due to financial problems within my family, I do not have the funds to attend. My father has recently been laid off from his job as a Grade IV Wastewater Operator. My mother works in Mobile, AL. She works nightshift for seven days, and then travels back home to Boaz to be with us. Given that my parents are still married, we pay mortgage in Boaz, rent in Mobile, and two sets of monthly bills. The total amount of the trip will be $4,500.00. I am asking you to please help me be able to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity. My family has always beIieved in "paying it forward." Any funds donated above what is required for this trip I will donate to the "Blessings in a Backpack Program" to feed hungry students in our school system. I look forward to the opportunity to give back to others, just as people have given to me. I take the privilege of representing Boaz City Schools, the Boaz community, and the State of Alabama very seriously. This opportunity will prepare me and leave me more determined to accomplish my goal and dream of giving back to my Boaz community by becoming a medical doctor.
