AJ's Top Surgery Fund

This is my partner, AJ! He is a 26 year old, animal loving, tattooing, retro gaming enthusiast, flash drawing, cat dad.

I'm here to ask for the kindness of friends, family and strangers in enabling him to live a much more comfortable and much less distressing life.  AJ is the most selfless, kind and giving person I have ever met and many, many others will agree! He is the first to help another in need in anyway he can; unfortunately he doesn't see himself as worth the same treatment. So here I am, asking you to show him the same love, support, kindness and acceptance that he hands out by the bucket full! 

AJ came out as trans earlier this year but has been presenting as masc since his early teens, he has only just been able to start his journey and deeply regrets not beginning his transition sooner however things like a discriminative work place and toxic relationships along with a struggle with his mental health left him unable to face the enormous task that is coming out and socially transitioning!

Unless you are or know a trans person closely yourself, you will not have seen or experienced the pain, discomfort and distress that comes with being trans and having to live with forcing yourself into a chest binder to feel confident enough to step outside, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, it breaks me to watch him struggle on a daily basis.

I'm hoping to raise as much as possible to contribute toward the cost of his top surgery (we're desperately penny pinching to contribute ourselves). With this he'll be able to have his top surgery and finally be able to start living. Unfortunately the waiting list for this treatment on the NHS is around 3 years long and is ever growing.
