Deaf World Shake Ministry/kvon

Hello, my name is Cornelius Kvon Benjamin. I'm a 23 year old deaf male who was born in Whiteville, NC, now residing in Atlanta, GA.. I'm writing this letter asking for your support to participate in a life changing experience. I have been chosen to go to Mexico City, for a Deaf Ministry Mission called Deaf World Shake.

Through Deaf World Shake, deaf youth and codas (Children of Deaf Adults) use their God given gifts and their background in Deaf Culture to share Jesus with other Deaf  people of the world. Letting them know that we are not alone in the deaf world and just because we are deaf there is still work to do in God's Ministry. We work by also helping them know God for themselves. Deaf World Shake was establish in 2012 when a group of deaf people such as myself started ministering the Word of God. There will be a total of six males attending, three whom have some hearing and three who are profoundly deaf. The total cost of my trip is 2200.00 which includes food, shelter, and airfare. If I raise the funds, we will fly into Mexico on June 8, 2014 and return on July 8, 2014. I am very excited about going to witness the love of Jesus all over the world. I have been blessed to travel and speak to deaf teens and young men of my peers. Empowering deaf teens and letting them know that there is a God is one of the greatest experiences that missions such as this allows. No matter how big or small things may seem, God is still in control.
