Earthship Education - Sustainable Alternatives

Donation protected
Hello world:!

I have a dream, a big huge fantastical dream, and I am on my path to realizing this dream!

I have long been fascinated with the sustainable housing movement, in particular Earthship Biotecture.   Earthships are best described as the epitome of sustainable building design and construction. They can be built in any part of the world, in any climate and still provide electricity, potable water, contained sewage treatment and sustainable food production.

For a number of years I have desired to participate as a student in the program at the Earthship Biotecture Academy which offers extensive training in Earthship design principles, construction methods and philosophy. Academy classes, labs, tours and hands-on construction techniques are led by founder Michael Reynolds and a staff of top Earthship builders, electricians, plumbers, plant specialists and educators. The Academy offers education for those who are excited to learn and live the Earthship philosophy and help expand it globally.  They have trained over 200 students from around the world and from diverse backgrounds including architects, municipal planners, artists, teachers, industrial designers, professional builders, community and environmental activists.

My experiences over time have made me aware that my work in this world is to facilitate healing with animals as well as people, to contribute to creating a world that thrives and to support and to educate others in doing the same. In order to become the change I want to see in the world I have spent the last decade of my life dedicated to doing this work within myself"”self-healing, studying, deepening my understanding. I have studied holistic equine practices, Healing Touch for Animals, urban agriculture, business, education and meditation. Daily I continue to build upon my experience.

I believe this is the summer for me to take this to the next level with some powerful hands-on experiential learning.  This is the summer for me to participate in the program at the Earthship Biotecture Academy!  I intend to bring what I learn through this internship to the northern Midwest where I desire to fuse this concept with my love of agriculture and horses"”building sustainable greenhouses, barns and storage buildings; complete sustainable farming! My long-term dream is to work with community members to implement these greenhouses within community gardens.  This could be a beautiful way of providing fresh, healthy produce year-round to food shelves!

I need your help.  Would you be willing to support me financially so that I can go to New Mexico this summer and learn how to build an Earthship?  Your financial gifts will enable me to realize this dream, and to return again to give back to my community here in the Northland and who knows where else in the years to come.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and may you receive many blessings and abundance in return!
