Project Hope For A Family Of 4

Donation protected
If I told you that we are working with a local family in a rural part of our county were dad is working 40+ hours a week, mom stays home with one small child while the other is in school, who are living in an extremely tough situation...would you help us help them with out us posting a picture? Without us giving a name?  Would you trust the direction God is leading (Renee Boehm, Pam Edmond and Dale Outlaw) in trying to help them?

You might be wondering why are we not giving names or posting pictures if we are asking for your financial help.  Here is the answer...there is a little girl who goes to school that we will not subject to embarrassment or the cruelty that could come from other kids because of this unfortunate situation, period.  Her parents are doing everything possible to make the best out of their situation.  See things were going fairly well for the young family of 4, who was living within their means paycheck to paycheck.  Then one day the landlord chose to sell the home they had been renting for several years.  With little time and little money, they made a decision to purchase land through a program that helps people in their situation, with little money down & low monthly payments, to purchase land of their own.  There was a trailer on the property they "thought" they could revive.  After sinking a lot of money, time, sweat and tears into this home...it has become apparent that it is not livable, despite all their efforts.  They even went as far as painting the outside of the dilapidated trailer so that the daughter would not be embarrassed as she boarded the school bus.  Also because of the condition of the trailer, there is no running water, other than a near by creek; the only electricity they have is from a generator that costs them an average of $15-20 a day to run.  They also pay for a Porta John for the restroom.  There is so much more to this heart breaking story...so we are asking you, can you help financially?

What are our plans?  Our plans are to come alongside them to remove this trailer, purchase a decent used mobile home (that we have already found) to put in its place so that they have a safe home for the upcoming winter season.  Our goal is $15,000...and we are well on our way after receiving a generous gift of $5,000!  Money will be used for utility hookups, purchase, transport and set up of "new to them" mobile home, dumpsters for cleanup and removal of old home, decks on front and back porch according to codes, load of gravel and incidentals.  Both parents are committed to ALL the physical labor and work that will be needed to accomplish this task and are very humble.

Can you help with "Project Hope"?

If you have questions or concerns, please come to me, Renee Boehm with the Dickson County Help Center, through email, private message or phone (GoFundMe encourages me not to insert this info here).   I normally am harder on young families as I require more from them.  But this family is doing everything within their power and means to do the best they can for their family.  They did not ask for our help initially, but have welcomed this HAND UP, not a hand out, because they are overwhelmed and exhausted. We covet your prayers and support.

As always, if you'd like to donate with a check or cash, you can stop by or mail it to Dickson County Help Center, c/o Project Hope, 103 West College Street, Dickson TN 37055. All donations are tax deductible.

Thank You!
