Help me keep my spot at NYU

Ever since I was 4 years old, I dreamt of being a psychotherapist, or as I referred to it as “a complaining doctor”.
My schooling was rough for me and I was told early on that my dreams were out of reach because it required so much schooling and I was not a good student. After graduating high school and entering my own personal therapy, I discovered a lot a trauma that I had been through that really prevented me from being a good student.
After cleaning up that trauma I learned that I can actually do well in school. I went to my local community college and exceeded my own expectations! I got straight A’s and was nominated for honor role. I applied to NYU, which has one of the best social work programs in the country. Never dreamed that I could get in... but just this past week, I received the news that I was accepted! My dreams are slowly coming true.
Unfortunately, the tuition is so incredibly expensive and I’m not getting approved for any student loans right now. My dreams are right within my reach, and I don’t want to lose this opportunity because of money...
As I work to fix my financial situation and my credit score over this next year, I need help to get by this semester.
I hate asking for money. I hate taking. I’d always rather be the one giving. I know this is a lot of money to ask for but every single dollar counts.
I want to be able to make a difference in this world in the mental health field.
Please help me.
