Julie's fight against cancer

Julie Heimer, friend, wife and mother of 3 grown boys, was diagnosed with stage 1 oropharygeal cancer (tonsil cancer) this spring after a routine visit with her dentist. A spot was noticed at her appointment and it was suggested that they check her again in 6 months. After her appointment with the dentist she made an appointment to follow up with her regular doctor. She was immediately sent to a specialist who scheduled a biopsy. The results were not what we expected. Julie was set up with an oncologist and began her 30 rounds of radiation. Her last radiation is scheduled for Monday July 17th. The treatments have made it extremely hard to eat or even swallow. She has mouth sores on her tongue and throat as well as radiation burns to her neck and face.
Through all of this, she has maintained her beautiful smile and bright spirit!
Last week it was decided that Julie take a leave of absence from work as the exhaustion, fatigue and lack of nutrition is taking it's toll. On top of all of this, Julie is a type 1 diabetic which complicates things even more.
The loss of income and escalating medical bills has caused financial challenges and unneeded worry for her and her family.

We are humbly asking for donations to assist in paying her high deductible and coinsurance, medication co-pays for her diabetic supplies and insulin as well as treatment meds.
