Alexis Road to Worlds CheerChampionships

My name is Alexis Vecchiarelli and I am 18 years of age.  I started cheerleading at the age of 12.  Since then, my dream has been to compete at Worlds in Orlando.  Two years ago, I suffered a severe knee injury tearing my ACL, MCL and Meniscus.  My dream was crushed, I now had a big decision to make, proceed with the surgery or give up my passion for "cheerleading".  My passion won and on my 17th birthday I had major reconstructive knee surgery.  Through great support and push from my medical team, coaches, teammates, family, friends and my commitment to physio and rehab I returned back to the floor late last season to compete with my team "CheerPride All-Stars Lions" in better shape than ever.  The only thing now is my uniform consists of a full leg brace and my nickname is "Robo".  This year my dream came true as our coach received word that we have qualified to compete at Worlds 2014 Cheerleading Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.  As this can be a very costly event, I am fundraising and reaching out to all of our family and friends to help fund me in any which way you can to make my dream possible so that I can compete together with my team at Worlds next month.  Funds will go directly towards flight, hotel accommodations, uniforms, food and all other related competition fees.  Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.  I thank you all!!
