We need a hand up.

Friends, I am embarrassed once again to ask for help but we are at that point where there is no where else to turn.  Hours at work have been cut drastically for many of us and it's to the point that I spend more on gas than I make going to work for 12 hours a week.  Mike has had so many more needs with the eyesight issue than he did with the nec/fac and with all the doctor appointments that he has, I'm lucky to get 12 hours a week.  There is a new income opportunity beginning shortly but I won't see the benefits until next month.  In the meantime, our utilities are in danger of shut off next week along with water and garbage, our renters and auto insurance are canceled next week, and Mike's sick with nerves and worry.  Thankfully Mike's on Medicare now and his prescriptions are covered (two boxes of insulin pens a WEEK are $1,131.  Pharmaceuticals are such a racket but he dies without those pens so we're grateful for the insurance).  So much has gone on that he doesn't know about over the past few years and this is one of them.  It's amazing what you do to make sure someone you love can just keep going.
