If you are reading this message it means you've took your time out to see what all the fuss is about, so id like to say thank you. Unfortunately just talking about this isn't going to change anything. As we enter a second lockdown i cant help but fear how tough things are going to get for people over the next few months, i feel so passionate about helping people and after addressing this on social media i feel so inspired by how many amazing people are ready to step forward and do what they can to help.
My name is Patrick Wilson, i am a 24 year old man from Essex who has suffered with mental health first hand. Us men are awful at talking about how we feel and we are pressured every day into ensuring we stay strong and dont feel comfortable talking about how we feel. This pandemic has caused such grief for us all and i know people are losing family members to this shocking virus but now is the time to take action, the younger generation of this world are wounded and have so much pressure on them to be a certain way.
My goal is to create a charity that deals with mental health first hand, i know theres many that already exist but i have done my research and it seems like it's full of waiting lists and answer machines instead of real people and instant results. The money will be used in many ways including funding people who cant afford food, rent and supporting people who cant pay for therapists, personal trainers and even an education which will give them a purpose during these tough times.
I was a DJ before the pandemic came and honestly these last few months have been harder than ever. I have fount such power and purpose in the idea of dedicating my life to help people struggling because i know how tough things can be. The charity is almost finished and if you can think of any ways you could help feel free to drop me a email.
