Ellen's Peace of Mind

Donation protected

My sister Ellen has not had it easy. 28 years ago she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, after brain surgery, chemo and radiation she was cancer free.  Fast forward to 2014, after a little more than 2 decades the doctors found another tumor, she underwent another brain surgery and radiation.  About  2016  the doctors found yet another tumor and treated it with radiation.

Last week Ellen was rushed to the ER upon feeling dizzy and suffering vision disturbances.   Upon arrival to the ER she had a seizure, as a result she has lost vision, suffered from an intense headaches and confusion.  Since her admittance to the hospital we have received different test results but no conclusive answers. She has been transferred to two different hospitals and is currently at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.

After suffering two small then one rather large seizure yesterday she was moved to the ICU.  At this writing she is alert and stable, but there is still no diagnosis.

Ellen is an amazing person, caring, nurturing, giving, strong and loving. She will go out of her way for others even if it meant sacrificing for herself.  For most of her life she has been the sole provider for her daughter Stephanie.  I can remember her working during her initial treatments for her brain tumor when Steph was a little girl, never complaining and working as much as she could no matter how she felt.

Upon speaking to some of my siblings I found out that they are still paying medical bills from the last two occurrences and now will be faced with mounting medical bills as Thomas Jefferson Hospital does not take any insurance whatsoever.   Stephanie and her husband Aaron are sharing  a home with Ellen since her last hospitalization and have been helping with the bills as Ellen lives on a  minimal disability check and is not always feeling well.  It has been a great struggle and financial as well as emotional burden for them all.

Ellen is Stephanie's world as she is an only child and she would do whatever she could to make her life easier and better.  I am asking for donations to help reduce the financial burden on this family.  Ellen deserves so much but she takes what she is given without even a whimper. She faces each struggle as a warrior and she deserves a little reprieve.

I want to be able to give her the chance to focus on getting better not  all the bills.  Please share this campaign with everyone you know.  Every little bit helps so even if you can only donate a few dollars it will be greatly appreciated.  If you can't afford a few dollars please atleast share this.

I will provide updates as I'm given them. On behalf of my sister Ellen and her Daughter Stephanie thank you.
