Evicted for Autistic Behavior

Donation protected

At the beginning of October my 2 children and I were evicted from our home in Poulsbo Washington. We shared the home with my boyfriend, and are all listed on the lease, however it was only myself and my children who were told to leave. The reason we were told to leave was because neighbors had made complaint about my son Phoenix who struggles with Level 3, none verbal Autism with regression.  I made an official report to the HUD department as the eviction is by definition illegal, however they have not yet gotten back to me.

I did what I had to do to find a safe home for my children. Thanks to many generous donations, hard work, and the support of friends and family , We are now safe in our new rental in Virginia. The move cost us everything we had. We were only able to bring what I could fit in the car. Traveling with a disabled child meant that I had to take the trip very slow, with many stops. It took us 6 full days to get here and the travel costs to get here totaled $1600 for gas, food and lodging.  Move in cost were $1400 and there were two large security deposits to have utilities turned on which totaled $500.  The costs stated above have already been taken care of  and I am so grateful to all those who have made that possible. Below is the home we were able to secure.

As I stated before, we had to leave everything behind. The children do not have any toys and we have only very basic furnishings. Some items donated by friends, some purchased at thrift stores. I have been hand washing the children's clothes as I cannot afford to go to a laundromat.  My biggest concern at this time is the cost of heating. The home uses a combination of Electric and Propane for heating, which are both very expensive options. The propane tank was completely empty at the time we moved in.

I was unable to give my son a birthday party in September because of the eviction. It is my dearest hope that I can give the children a small celebration in time for my daughters birthday November 17th.

Our needs at this time are as follows:
The estimated cost to fill the propane tank is $750.  (Most important)
Drivers License and Registration (so that I can drive to purchase food, bring children to and from school and appointments: $140 (Very Important)
A small Birthday with Gifts: $100
Household needs (Specifically dressers for the children, a TV (Used) and a Washing Machine (Used): $300
