Hello!
My name is Sierra Holiday. I am 15 years old and I have been dancing since I was 3. Dance is my life and I love it with a passion! My dream is to continue dancing and someday join a prestigious ballet company.
Currently, I am raising money to attend the 2014 Harid Conservatory Summer Intensive Program in Boca Raton, Florida. This program is 4 weeks long. Harid is a difficult program to get into. They only accept 60 students out of many applicants that they feel will make a career in dance.
In the past few months I have auditioned for multiple summer intesive programs. I have been accepted into American Ballet Theatre, Harid Conservatory, Kansas City Ballet, Kirov Academy of Ballet, Houston Ballet, Bolshoi, and Ellison Ballet. I've decided to attend The Harid Conservatory. I like the professionalism of the school, the sense of community they instill and the fact that they offer a year-round program.
My goal, for the next 2 years is to be accepted in the year-round program at The Harid Conservatory. To be in the year-round program at Harid I would have to move to Florida and live in the dorms to attend the school.
In my family, I am the youngest of 4 children. I have three older brothers (22,20 and 17), the 2 eldest of which are in college. My mom is a single mother and has sacrificed a lot for me to be able to do what I love most. Despite my family's limited resources they fully support my passion for dance. The next step toward reaching my goal is to attend The Harid Conservatory Summer Intensive in Florida.
