Support for Donnie Hancock

On Friday, February 29th, 2014, Donnie Hancock went to the doctor for chest pain and an extreme cough. He was diagnosed with bronchitis and was prescribed antibiotics. The following Tuesday the coughing became much worse and he started coughing up large amounts of blood. He went to the Emergency Room and was once again treated for bronchitis.
On Thursday, March 6th, he returned to the Emergency Room and was promptly admitted. A diagnostic CT scan was performed and revealed a mass the size of a biscuit within his chest cavity. A specialist was contacted and it is believed that the mass was very slow growing and likely existed since Donnie was an infant. The mass has now grown large enough to cause great pressure and is responsible for the coughing up of blood. Donnie was immediately transported to Washington Regional by ambulance.
The doctors are waiting on the biopsy results to confirm the tumor is benign. Donnie will have surgery to remove the tumor as soon as possible.
Donnie will not be able to go back to work for quite sometime. Krissi is staying at Donnie's bedside to help care for him. Donnie and Krissi have an infant son, Riley, that is being cared for by their loving family.
This donation page has been set up in anticipation of the overwhelming expense that will burden this young family during Donnie's hospitalization and inability to work.
