Funeral Expenses for Lisa

On behalf of the family, we thank each and everyone who made this fundraising possible. We have achieved and exceeded the goal, so we have closed accepting additional contributions. We’re leaving this group open until after the funeral, so that we can update each one of you the impact of your contribution toward Lisa’s funeral’s service.

My name is Ben Mbwambo and I am fundraising money to cover funeral expenses for our beloved daughter Lisa Ngunda. Lisa Ngunda was a sophomore attending her Pre-Med studies at Cornell University until Saturday March 12th, 2022. She had finished a group project on her last night, and they all agreed to go to sleep and get together again the next morning. When her fellow students couldn’t see her in the morning, they called and there was no response. They went knocking on the door and again, no response. They reached out to the school administration and when the administrator opened the door, they found Lisa sleeping on her bed. The Medical professionals were called in and determined that, Lisa had already passed.

The family is waiting for the cause of death report and after they receive the body, the plan is to transport the deceased to her home country of Tanzania. The cost is quite high and I am requesting that we join hands in helping the Ngunda’s family to be able to bury their daughter in their home town. Your contribution is very much appreciated.
