I am excited to embarke on my second journey to New Zealand. This time I will be a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) staff member staffing two different schools... a Justice DTS and a Pilgrimage DTS. As a staff member I will be helping students find who they are in Christ and encourage students to discover who God is calling them to be; I will also be planning outreach trips for students to put into practice what they have learned.
Here is a little more information about the schools:
Justice Reach equips leaders to go out and actively fight justice. During the school students will learn about God's heart on injustice issues such as child soldiers, poverty, and sex trafficking. After spending three months learing about justice we will be leading students to Southeast Asia/Pacific Islands to put into practice what we have learned. Students will have the opportunity to share their testamony, work with street kids, build relationships, pray for people, and work with organizations that work hand and hand with sex-trafficking. My heart is to see women and children set free from a life of pain, dispare, and hopelessness by showing them God's love.
In October I will be staffing a Pilgrimage focused DTS. Thousands of people go backpacking to find adventure, explore the world, and "find themselves." Our goal is to help students discover who God is, all while exploring His great outdoors. We will lead students on a two month long backpacking trip somewhere in Southeast Asia or the Pacific Islands. Students will get to evangelize to backpackers, share their testamony to those staying in local hostals, lead church services, or just lend a helping hand to those in need.
I can't do this alone and I'm asking and praying that you will come along side me during this adventure. I need to raise around $15,000 which includes airfair to New Zealand, living expenses, flight to outreach locations, insurance, etc. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly supporter of my mission or giving a one time donation? Prayer is equally important and appreciated.
