Post Kidney Transplant Medication

Donation protected
I am writing on behalf on my husband Dominick Chiaiese.  In August of 2012 a month before our Daughter's wedding, Dominick's kidneys shut down due to a kidney disease that he had since he was 17 years old.  In September he went on Peritoneal Dialysis and did  this everyday at home.  In the mean time we submitted our request to be put on a kidney donor list.  There were many things that had to be accomplished in order for this to happen.  Repeat of certain test because they had to be within 12 months of our application.  All was done and now we are ready to go to orientation which was for 2 days at Florida Hospital in Orlando FL.  Everything was looking good.  We received the information of what it would cost monthly for his medication after his Kidney transplant and it was about $500.00 a month.  Come July of 2013 (still not on the list) his medical insurance changed and now instead of the $500.00 a month it was not going to cost over $1,000.00 a month and because of this increase in medicines, Florida Hospital denied him because based on his income he could not afford the $1,000.00 a month.  It is going on a year and still not of the donor list.  He then decided to stop Peritoneal Dialysis due to some complications and go on Hemodialysis (which has taken a toll on his body) and this started in August of 2013.  At this point he was ready to give up on the whole kidney transplant.   After sometime we decided to try again with a different hospital at UF Shands in Gainsville FL.  It took some time to once again complete all the paperwork and get an appointment and finally we did get one for February 2014.  We were there the entire day being interviewed by many.  We had a better knowledge this time around of what to expect and were very pleased with everyone we met.  They advised us that all involved would meet in 2 weeks and we would receive a letter soon after that, and we did, stating what additional information was required to be put on the donor list, if we met all these other requirement including coming up with the funds to pay for his post kidney transplant, but this time it was very different they gave us different avenues to look into to help with the necessary medication needed for anti rejection that must be taken every day for about 6 months.  So far we have had no luck and that is why I am reaching out to you to help us raise the money for Dominick's medication so he can be put on a kidney transplant donors list to help give him a better quality of life.  Thank you so much for reading our story and appreciate anything you can do.
