Devin's Battle with Cancer

    My name is Jaime & I am a single mother of four wonderful,sweet & beautiful children.On Friday, February 21,2014 my life was turned upside down. After weeks of vomiting and seeing multiple doctors my 13 year old son Devin was diagnosed with a stage 4 Medulloblastoma tumor (brain tumor). That Sunday Devin underwent brain surgery and the tumor was successfully removed.
   Unfortunately, Devin will still have to undergo radiation and chemo to ensure that the tumor does not return. Devin must receive this radiation treatment within 31 days from his surgery. Devin is still currently in the hospital receiving Physical Rehabilitation so that he can regain his balance for walking, he is still having issues with vomiting as well. When Devin is done with his rehab we will have to move to another state that offers Devin a special radiation treatment that is not offered where we live now.
As I mentioned above I am a single mother of four, so my other three children who are in school will be staying behind to stay in school while Devin and I move to the other state for 2-3 months fo his treatment. Again this move must happen rather quickly before the tumor has a chance to grow back and spread limiting his chances of survival. I'm sure you can imagine the financial burden all this has put in my lap.
   I worked very hard to support my children by myself for many years with very little to no child support. I am a Pampered Chef consultant, which has helped me support my family by doing cooking shows. I also bake and decorate cakes out of my home; but all this has come to a standstill. I have lost a lot of my income since I have had to cancel all of my recent orders, and cannot commit to any future orders so I can be with my son. 
   Both of my jobs are self employment so being fired was not an issue, but having to be in the hospital, tending to Devin's needs have put my businesses on hold; therefore no work means no pay.
   I am trying to raise funds for tons of expenses we will or could face: medical expenses, emergency expenses, childcare (for my other 3), food and lodging; assistance to pay bills that cannot be paid since I cannot currently work. I know times are hard for everyone right now, but if you could please-even if it is a dollar or two- consider helping us, because anything helps. We would be so grateful for your support.
