I have an amazing opportunity to be part of the Canadian National Track Cycling team representing Canada in sprint events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
This is an exceptional opportunity! Canada has been without a female sprinter on the world stage for two years. Exciting things are happening for track sprinting in Canada!
The training is hard, but finding money to go try out is even harder.
I need to finance a trip to the velodrome in Los Angeles, this April 5-6. There I will meet qualifying times in the Flying 200 metre and Standing 500 metre sprint events. This is necessary to compete at the Commonwealth Games.
Full time work helps me to self fund training and competition. Age is a limiting factor to qualify for most training and support programmes. Your help so far has enabled me to become Provincial and Canadian National Track and Road Cycling Champion. I cannot let finances get in the way now.
