CT WOCS Purple Class 13-001 Capstone

Purple Class 13-001 of the Connecticut Regional Training Institute Warrant Officer Candidate School has been challenged with developing a concept to provide a permanent contribution from class 13-001 for all future classes that attend the program. The project must represent the pride and tradition of the Warrant Officer Corps and incorporate the spirit of the program. Raising money to fund the project is our final hurdle. Fundraising within the military is highly restricted and as such the class is limited to raising the funds in civilian status. The project was conceptualized in early 2013 and has gone through many planning, and approval processes to include legal review as well as the Heritage Committee's, and the Regimental Commander's approval. Class 13-001 would like to install a granite monument on the CT RTI property in the WOCS training area as a representation of the permanent dedication, hard work, sacrifice, and passion every Warrant Officer Candidate must possess to attend and graduate from the course. The monument will serve as a reminder of those qualities to not only the Candidates that make it into the course but all that see it. It will be constructed of a solid block of granite, and engraved with the Warrant Officer Eagle Rising Insignia and class 13-001 motto. The monument nick named the "WOC Block" will be used as a guidon stand for all future classes to display their class colors and pride in the Warrant Officer Corps. Please support the Warrant Officer Candidates of class 13-001 and the Warrant Officer Corps by contributing to this very worthy project.
