Support Erik’s Fight With Leukaemia

Please meet little Erik, the beautiful and brave son of one of our most dearest friend and long-time colleague.

Eriks’ family and those who know him best would describe him as funny, bright and thoughtful. But, one thing for sure, he is also a little fighter!

Earlier this summer, Erik and his families’ world was turned upside down when their 4-year-old son was diagnosed with Leukaemia. The news was unimaginably heartbreaking, and every parents worse fear.

Erik was immediately admitted to hospital and is now in the process of undergoing gruelling and intense chemotherapy treatments, which are expected to span the next 2 years. In best efforts to avoid lengthy periods of hospital stay and to have Erik at home with family as much as possible; in periods Erik is visiting the hospital several times a day.

One thing for sure, the road to recovery is a long and challenging one, but little Erik and his family are in high spirits, feeling hopeful and taking each day as it comes… together!

Eriks’ father, our dear friend, has taken part in Marathon after Marathon spanning the last 10 years. With a shared passion and love for fitness and endurance sports, some of our chefs have banded together to start a fundraising initiative in support of this cause.

Stu Stalker, Thomas Frebel, Toni Toivanen and Eoghan Coady; over the months of August and October, will each take part in either a full distance Ironman or Marathon. Their aim, to raise money for Erik and other families who have found themselves in the same unimaginable situation.

Your kind donations will go towards sending Erik and his family on a restful and well deserved vacation, once they have completed the next two years of treatment. In addition, donations raised will also go towards Børnecancerfonden, and support medical research on Pediatric Cancer.
