Bears Vet Bill - Chest Surgery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Soheil, and I’m reaching out for help during an incredibly difficult time. My beloved dog, Bear, a sweet and energetic 2-year-old, recently had a tragic accident that has left him fighting for his life.
On Friday, during what started as a routine dog walk, everything changed in an instant. Bear was happily exploring, running up a bank as he always does, when he tragically ran into a hidden branch that was concealed by the overgrown grass. The branch entered his chest, piercing his thorax. My heart stopped as I rushed him to the vet. They did everything they could with the resources available to stabilise him for transport, but his condition was critical.
From there, I rushed Bear to an emergency out of hours vet. The incredible team there kept him stable through the night, closely monitoring his condition. On the following Saturday afternoon, Bear underwent surgery. The vets managed to clean the wound, removing debris and even a piece of bark that had lodged itself on his lung. The surgery went as expected, everything is looking good so far, however they are still monitoring a small leak on his lung, but as of yet, they have said there is no need for an intervention.
As of now, Bear remains stable, but he is still in the hospital and will need to stay there for potentially one or two more days under close observation. The cost of his care has been quoted at up to £10,000. As much as I want to do everything in my power to keep Bear with me, this financial burden is beyond what I can handle on my own and I hate to be asking for help like this!
Bear came into my life when I needed him the most, and from the day I got him, I’ve known how incredibly lucky I am to have him. He’s been the best boy, always by my side, and he truly is my whole world. I’m determined to do everything I can to keep him by my side, but I need your help.
I’m reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to ask for any support you can offer. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards Bear’s medical bills and his road to recovery. If you’re unable to donate, even sharing Bear’s story would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide. I will keep everyone updated on Bear’s progress, and I remain hopeful that, with your support, he will pull through this and continue to be the happy, loving dog I know he is.
With deepest gratitude, Soheil
