Going Cross-Cultures With The Gospel: Pamplona, Spain
College is flying by even quicker than expected! Summer is approaching rapidly, and this Fall I will be graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. These past few years have been incredible in much greater ways than just a college education though. My relationship with God has grown tremendously. As I have grown closer to God, He has continued to grow my love for Him and for others. One of the greatest ways this love can be expressed is through sharing with people the truth of the gospel.
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." John 3:16 adds, "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son so that all who believe shall never perish but have eternal life." Only through placing our faith in God's gift of Jesus can we be forgiven of our sins, beginning a true relationship with God. People need to hear this!
God has been increasing my passion to reach those who have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ before. There is much work to be done in Spain. Religious hypocrisy has turned many people away from seeking God, and they are filling the void with things like drugs, drinking, relationships, etc. Less than 1% of the population in Spain has a Biblical worldview. More laborers are needed to reach this younger generation, my generation, with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the love of God.
But God is doing work there! Dom Marrone and others began a church called La Roca in Pamplona, Spain a number of years ago. Within the past year the church has seen much fruit, with lives being transformed as people turn to Christ. This summer I will be a part of a Laborers Impacting Nations for Christ (LINC) team living in Pamplona, Spain from May 10th through June 17th. During our time there we will be leading English clubs, sharing the gospel daily with university students, and starting Bible studies. We will be on the frontlines preaching Christ to this nation!
However, for this to be possible I need to develop a ministry team "“ a group of ministry partners who will join with me in this effort. I am responsible to raise $3000 for the cost of airfare, housing, food, and other program costs. In order to meet this need as quickly as possible, I am trusting the Lord to provide people who would like to invest gifts of $200, $100, $50 or whatever amount possible.
Would you please take the time to prayerfully consider giving to Cypress Church to meet this need? Any support from you for this mission would an incredible blessing. I can't do it without you!
