Support Tim's Fight Against Cancer

Tim Wilk is a great husband, a great father, a great brother, and a great friend to so many! He loves working hard, but always has time for his family and friends. Tim was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, which very quickly transitioned to an aggressive form of acute myelocytic leukemia. Tim’s brother was able to be a donor for a stem cell transplant, but unfortunately this was not successful and his doctors tell him they have nothing else to offer unless he can be enrolled in a special treatment trial. Tim has suffered through so much, but continues to have a positive outlook. He has a chance to be evaluated and treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. They are doing exciting research on Tim’s form of cancer and this is really his only hope.




It is not yet clear how much if any of this treatment will be covered by Tim’s health insurance. Even though Tim is blessed to have insurance, there have already been huge noncovered expenses and now Tim’s family will have to somehow finance the move (temporarily) to Houston while he undergoes treatment. Tim’s wife, Julie, and his son and daughter, Alex and Elizabeth, have supported Tim through his long fight, and they want him to be able to continue his fight for life.
