One of everyone's worst nightmares came true on March 3rd when the Day family lost everything in a vicious 5 alarm fire that gutted their home. The only items they have are the clothes on their backs, and a few small items they happened to take with them the night before.
Think of all the contents of your house and how much it would take to replace it all: vacuums, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, bedding, furniture, Christmas gifts, and all the memories - gone! Imagine having to start over with the clothes on your back. I can't! Their positive attitude and outlook to me is inspiring through one of their toughest moments!
So now we say to ourselves, what can we do?!?! Every bit will help them rebuild their days "“ from clothing donations, furniture, to money for them to hopefully own again.
The unfortunate part in all this is they did not have "content insurance" "“ so they are virtually tens of thousands of dollars from this devastation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but they suspect faulty wiring to be a factor.
We ask that if you can help, please donate. I know if roles were reversed they would do the same!!!
