Fight For Fine

Training with the Sharks fulltime NRL squad prior to Christmas, young front rower Fine Kula complained of severe headaches, which a series of tests would later reveal to be brain cancer.

A popular member of the squad and a player with immense potential, 21-year-old Kula was diagnosed with a grade-four medulloblastoma. A type of cancer rarely found in adults, the recovery process is largely unknown, this devastating news hit Kula, his family, friends and all at the Sharks extremely hard.

Fine has announced he will hang up the boots while his efforts are directed at his recovery and beating the disease. With his current contract having expired, his illness has put a huge emotional and financial strain on the family.

The Sharks will support Fine as he fights for his life and have a number of initiatives planned, including memorabilia auctions and a special event, however in the short term he and his family are in financial distress and this GoFundMe page has been established to support Fine during this challenging period.
