Our Surrogacy Fund

Donation protected

Thankyou for taking the time to read our story, regardless of whether you make a donation or not we are happy to be raising awareness of a horrendous disease that affects so many young lives! Our story started here: Myself and my partner James have been together 7 years now and up until Sept 2011 we had shared a healthy, happy relationship together. We had been living in our first home together for 8 months when I noticed abnormal bleeding started to occur following sexual intercourse. After a month of ignoring the bleeding (naively) I finally went to see my GP. I had dropped 2 dress sizes at the time and as I was of English screening age (25) she suggested a smear. The results came back abnormal so I had to have a biopsy followed by day surgery within the 2 weeks that followed in the November. I had a 4 day stay in hospital following these procedures due to blood loss & the discovery of a 4.7cm tumour on my Cervix. I was then given the news that at 25 I had Cervical Cancer. I had to have chemotherapy, radiotherapy and internal brachyatherapy if there was any hope of curing the disease and as a result my ovaries were destroyed along with my cervix. We were however offered IVF before my treatment began and I can proudly say we are now the fortunate parents (to be) to 24 frozen embryos! We are currently saving towards a deposit for our first family home & are living with James' parents until we reach are goal.

Surrogacy is a costly affair but something we must pursue if we are to ever have our own children one day. We have gained numerous donations towards Surrogacy through sponsored Half Marathons & generous donations from friends, family, work colleagues & kind strangers already but there is still a long way to go.
We will be waiting until I am 5 years all clear before we start Surrogacy proceedings due to obvious health reasons.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story & regardless of whether you leave a donation or not we would be so grateful if you could share our story to help raise awareness to other young females.
