Gracie’s Smile

On Sunday night August 12, 2018 my two year old daughter Gracie was attacked by our dog Rascals that we’ve had for ten years. He never attacked anyone and unfortunately we had to put him down.She was bit in her face multiple times. She had over 70 stitches on her face and mouth. She is missing a piece of her lip and is going to need reconstructive surgery on her mouth to get her smile back. Gracie is a fun and outgoing. Throughout this whole ordeal she still goes around the house calling for Rascals as well as our othe dog Sampson who passed away a week prior.
Gracie’s smile always made the day better. She made bad days into good days and good days into awesome days. There was nothing better than coming home after a hard day of work and seeing her coming running to me with a smile saying “Hi Momma!”
Unfortunately, we fell on hard times. My husband recently lost his job after 13 years. We are struggling to make ends meet with just one income. In addition, she has lost her insurance due to her dad losing his job. The sooner she receives the reconstructive surgery, the less chance she will have to live with permanent scarring. We appreciate any donation that is made. Thank you for getting Gracie’s smile back.
