Medical costs and travel expenses

Being diagnosed with cancer is the scariest thing a person can hear, but hearing those words twice in two years is devastating. Oct 2011 I received the news I had breast cancer, advanced stage triple negative breast cancer. As terrifying as that diagnosis was, learning my breast cancer had come back just 17 months after being told I was cancer free brought me to my knees.

It has been 1 year since I received the news I was stage IV. Weekly chemo has become my life to stay alive. We sometimes make 2-3 trips a week to the cancer center. All of these appts have once again become a financial burden for Bill and I.  We have exhausted the monies donated this past spring; which was an awesome help.

It is very difficult for me to ask for help, but the added stress is taking away from my focus on fighting. After speaking with a friend, and breast cancer survivor last night, she encouraged me to ask for help. She told me that I should not have to stress about the financials of fighting cancer. I know times are hard for everyone, so any small amount will help. If you can't help financially, please continue to keep my Bill and I in your thoughts and prayers; from your mouth to God's ears for a complete remission. Thank you and God Bless
