My dear friend Dawn is the most strong, willpowered woman who would do anything for you. Now it’s time we do something for her. I am creating a GoFundMe Campaign because she was born with Congestive Heart Failure also known as CHF.
There are two types of CHF, Diastolic and Systolic. Diastolic is when the lining of the heart is too thick which causes the lungs and heart to fill up with fluid and blood. Dawn is currently struggling to eat, breathe, move, and live her life. The disease is tireless against her now frail body, yet she isn’t giving up.
Doctors say that without a new heart Dawn will have about a year left to live. But her current heart can’t handle the surgery, and her organs now failing, meaning she can not get a new heart.
Already the medical bills have taken over her life, and she won’t be able to afford new medical bills. Without a new heart Dawn will be leaving behind her daughters Angel, 15 and Santally, 22.
Dawn has already missed the past 5 months of the new school year but she will miss more. Dawn won’t be able to help Angel pick Prom dresses, or see her daughter graduate and move into her first apartment, she won’t get to fawn over her engagement ring and then see her wed, she won’t get to meet her grandkids or see the one she has grow up.
The money from this GoFundMe Campaign will be used towards groceries, electrical bills, rent and anything Dawn would have paid for while she was still able to work. The goal is to raise over $20,000 in order to help keep Angel secure in her home while in the Hospital. After those are covered Dawn will use the money towards her Hospital Bills and surgeries.
And lastly she can’t leave us without being missed. If you have met Dawn she will have touched your heart with her stubbornness and compassion. If you haven’t, then hopefully the words written here can convey the emotion in this story and maybe it will touch your heart.
