Juliet's Medical Bills

Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Friend, and now Grandma.... just a few names we call my mother, Juliet.
Mommy is a woman of God, a Trinidadian, an elementry school teacher, and the strongest woman I know.
She was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer in November 2012 while on a break from teaching. A Lumpectomy, 18 weeks of Chemotherapy, 6 weeks of Radiation, and a year of Herceptin treatment amounted to: sleepless nights, endless prayers, nausea, intense body pain, lack of appetite, weakness, depression... the list goes on. My mom went from being the center stone of my family to the one who needed the extra hugs and words of encouragement. My mother experienced both the physical and mental aspects of cancer treatment. The biggest outward sign of her battle was the hair on her head. Every time her hair fell out, her spirit fell a little more. However, when she couldn't take it anymore, we shaved it for her - Dad, my brother, and I put her back in control. After that I watched as my cheerful, giggling mother slowly returned.
Mom went from covering up her head EVERYwhere she went to giving advice to other cancer patients on how and when it would fall out, and what to do?! Anyone that knows my mom knows... she does not talk to strangers! LOL.
So here we are today... Her hair is growing back, her spirits are high, and she is finally CANCER FREE!!! However, a different kind burden has impacted our family - Medical Bills. Although she is supported by my father, a hard working electrician, it's not enough. With medical bills continuing to pile up, Mom and Dad could really use some help. If you have the means, I urge you to donate. Every little bit counts.
