Mama's funeral expenses

My mother has unexpectedly passed away. She was in the advanced stages of colon cancer and did not know she had it. She went to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain, where they discovered the cancer which had already metastisized to other areas of her body and it was too late for any sort of treatment. She was admitted on Saturday evening and passed on Monday afternoon. My mother was a humble woman who was raising two children that she had custody of due to an unfortunate family situation, who also are now in an uncertain position because her passing. Unfortunately, she had no insurance or savings and really no assets to speak of. There isn't much in the way of family to help with the expenses. I am her youngest daughter and the responsibility is mine to handle the arrangements and all her personal affairs. This is very difficult for me for several reasons... I grew up with her in South Carolina, where she passed away, but have lived several hundred miles away in Ohio for many years now. So the distance alone makes it extremely difficult. I am also struggling myself as I am a single mother as well as a full time student with 2 jobs trying to make ends meet myself. Not to mention, as if the situation wasn't tragic enough, it's a few days till Christmas and any funds I may have had have already gone to that for my children's Christmas. I am traveling to South Carolina immediately after Christmas to take care of everything, but with really no clue how I'm going to be able to do it. The lack of funds, as it is, is overwhelming. Add to that the unpaid time off of work I'm going to have to take to make the trip. I'm not ever one to ask for help in any situation. However this is one where I feel that I have no choice. I'm asking for any donation at all to help with funeral expenses, expenses to cover my trip and unforeseen costs of handling her affairs, and hopefully something to help with the children as well.
