Help me fund Mia's dental surgery

Donation protected
Greetings!

My name is Ben, and I’m a 29-year-old medical student. This January I adopted my sweet 9-year-old cat lady named Mia from the animal shelter. When I put my hand in her box at the shelter to greet her, she started purring. I knew one thing in that priceless moment: this is my cat or, as she would soon let me know, I was her human. Over the past six months she has deeply enriched my life, being a tremendous source of psychological and emotional support for me as I work through my studies.

And it would be all perfect, if it weren't for her teeth. She’s not the youngest cat anymore, and her teeth are troubling her a lot. Sadly, neither her previous owner nor the animal shelter took care of that, so she's already lost a few teeth, and others are damaged and infected. This leaves her with daily toothaches and chewing troubles. My sweet kitty needs dental surgery to repair and save what teeth can be saved and safely removes the ones damaged beyond repair. ☹

I'm doing all I can to save up to be able to afford it; however, as a student with a low-income part-time job, it will still take months until I can afford it. I don't want my cat to suffer further from the toothache, so I put together this modest GoFundMe to help her. Mia and I would be eternally grateful for any financial help, no matter how small, that you can spare. Spreading this page is highly welcome as well!

If you need to know more about the lovely patient – or just want to see more adorable cat photos - let me tell a bit more about Mia:

From the first day on she loved cuddling and sleeping with me on my.. mmh excuse me her bed. Every morning at about 5 am she gently taps my face with her paw to remind me that it's cat breakfast time now. After feasting, she joins me back in the bed to cuddle until her human is finally ready to get up.

Mia is a beautiful purrmachine in black and white  with a big heart for headscratchies, cat-yoga, sunbathing her belly and chicken. But careful peasant when touching the "big soft white" also known as her belly. Attention is wondeful, as the queen loves to be worshiped. But not too much attention please as she shows with a pat on your hand with her paw or if need be with her sharp claws

.

Although she turns 10 years old  this year, the moment I take out her beloved whollen string, her inner little kitten appears. With the enthusiasm of a much younger cat, the string is hunted across the bed, snapped after with all four paws and teeth while rolling around on the back.

Even the newest addition, a laserpointer - or "the mysterious red dot"- is pursued across the whole apartment in a spurt after luring for her pray in one of her may boxes. And if the hunting work of the day is done, Mia loves to rest, peek outside from the window-shelf and let the sun warm her fur and just be the perfect cat ❤

Thanks so much in advance,
Love ❤
