This May I will be participating in an intensive course entitled The Landless Workers Movement and Social Change in Brazil. Offered by Bishop's University, the class takes place primarily in Brazil. The course consists of the study of Brazilian social movements, particularly the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (Movimento de Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra do Brasil, or MST). The course combines theory, experiential learning, research, and writing components.
Participating in this course means a great deal to me. It will contribute to my growth as an individual and will also help me become a better contributor to the global community. I will return to the Eastern Townships with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.

Au mois de mai, je participerai à un cours intensif intitulé Le Mouvement des travailleurs ruraux sans-terre et le changement social au Brésil, offert par l'Université Bishops. Le cours a principalement lieu au Brésil et consiste en une étude des mouvements sociaux brésiliens, en particulier, le Mouvement des Travailleurs Ruraux Sans Terre (Movimento de Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra do Brasil, ou MST). Ce cours comporte plusieurs aspects: théorie, apprentissage empirique, recherche et écriture.
La participation à ce cours me tient à coeur. Elle me fera grandir en tant qu'individu. De plus, ce cours m'enseignera à mieux contribuer auprès de la communauté internationale. Je reviendrai aux Cantons-de-l'Est avec un savoir et une expérience à partager.
