<div>In April 2020, a black elder/mother of three adopted children suffered an eye stroke that left her profoundly blind in one eye.
</div>
<div>Both the underlying condition that caused the stroke and the medical treatments to manage the condition, such as chemotherapy, are chronic and disabling.
</div>
<div>This has been worsened by a lack of central air and heating which have adversely affected her health and is financially unsustainable.

Any excess funds will go towards family expenses such as food and house payments.
