As most of my friends and family know, I have been extremely involved over the past 5 years with The Tampa Generals Wheelchair Rugby Team. Wheelchair rugby and the team members have been tremendously instrumental in my recovery as a paraplegic, due to my motorcycle accident in 2005.
In October 2013, I was given the opportunity to try out for the USA Paralympic Developmental Team, Team Force. I accepted the challenge and I have been able to secure a position as a staff member. Being a part of such an inspirational league, not only for myself but others, is a huge honor and I look forward to my commitment to this team over the next few years.
Team Force represents the USA Quad Rugby Association. As a staff member, I would like to help Team Force in their endeavor to raise $2500.00 per staff/player. By raising these funds Team Force, players and staff, is able continue changing lives by encouraging those affected by various disabilities to thrive in this high-energy, contact sport. These funds will also help with the cost of travel and amenities, as this is an extremely costly sport for those involved. This year, Team Force has been invited to participate in a tournament in Nottwil, Switzerland. Your support can help make this journey for Team Force a rewarding experience.
