Everyone who Knew Elvis loved him. He was full of life, charming smile and his charisma was one of a kind. He was the life of the party and for many he was the go-to bartender of the 305! Elvis and I met back in Oxygen, where we both bartended and we ended up dating for 6 years. Although we had many differences, which caused us to split up, we still managed to stay really good friends till this day. I feel like I’ve lost a big part of my history because he wasn't just an ex, he was part of my family. No matter what I was going through, or who I was dating, he was always there for me, just one phone call away and now he's completely gone! He taught me how to grow up at a young age, how to make money and how to work as a team. Elvis and I were a team!

What I loved most about him was that he was such a family man and always put his family first. Elvis lost his father a few years back and 3 years ago he also lost his brother, Jose. After, Jose’s death, Elvis moved back to New Jersey to take care of his mom. For the last couple of years Elvis dedicated himself to give his mother and dog “Jersey” a better life. My last conversation with him was Saturday and he was concerned about his mother’s health. He was also worried about Jersey because he didn’t want to eat, and he is getting old. He told me that he was worried about losing both of them. He said he was going to end up alone in this world. It sounded like he felt death coming. I felt him so uneasy.

2 weeks ago, he asked me to please mail him a box full of pictures that were in storage. So I sent them for his birthday but shipping was delayed and he finally got them on Monday. It was a huge box full of his lifetime memories, friends, good times and laughs. He opened the box and glanced through his pictures. Then he told our friend Jorge he wasn’t feeling too well and he was going to sleep. And just like that…he never woke up on Tuesday. We are now waiting on the autopsy to see what the cause of his sudden death was.

I still can’t believe he's gone! My heart is broken and I feel his mother’s pain. Both of her sons are gone and she's all alone and very sick. Therefore, I have decided to help the family raise money. So that Elvis can have a proper funeral and to help alleviate the financial burden of her son’s death. I am asking anyone that was ever touched by Elvis’ presence to please help me raise funds for the funeral costs. Every little grain of salt will help his family during these hard times. I will take care of this and hand deliver all the funds to his family. I want to thank all of you in advance for making this happen and helping me achieve this goal.

Let's all take a moment to cherish Elvis for all the good times we shared with him and pray for him so he can find the light. RIP Elvis Rodriguez you were so loved by many of us and I will forever miss you Chuky!
