Rebuilding ourselves from HRCNMaria

I'm writing this on behalf of my sister who can not share on social media due to no electricity or phone signal.

This ask comes in a time of dire need and extreme circumstance. Please read thoroughly and find it in your heart to help us.

My name is Desiree Valentin and I with my husband and two toddlers have been devastated by Hurricane Maria this past Wednesday. We are left without electricity or water. My father who recently underwent heart surgery and my mother who cares for him are also without these necessities for survival. My two boys ages 4 and 2, husband and I and my parents will not survive this castastrophe and we are trying to flee back to our hometown of Hoboken. We have no access to money, banks, cash machines or anything of the sort but we do have our identification and can board a plane at a moments notice once the airports open up. The dam at the lake has broken and now we are required to evacuate.

There are 6 of us. My son can sit on my lap, which leaves 5 one way flights to any airport in the tri state area. I'm asking if you could donate even the smallest amount you could spare to get us home to our family so we can live the next few months under a roof with heat and electricity. If you don't have anything to spare, we would appreciate your prayers.

All money donated to my family will go towards our plane tickets and start up costs to secure a place to stay and until we get back on our feet so we can register our boys for school immediately and get my dad nursed back to health.
