Vet Costs for Buddha

Hi friends.
My baby Buddha isn’t feeling too hot.  From what I understand his tail is likely broken and has a puncture wound that has abscessed and become infected. He can’t sleep, his back legs are shaking, he’s lathargic and not eating or drinking water. 
Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford everything he needed immediately at the emergency clinic 
(Sedation, flushing abscess, x-rays, etc.) and they can’t give an actual diagnosis until he is sedated. He is in so much pain you can’t touch his tail. 
Doctor says that if he continues not to eat because of the pain, then chances for him are slim.  
I got him antibiotics to hopefully stop the infection from spreading, but the doctor made it clear that antibiotics are just a bandaid for a bigger problem. 
This cat is my world,  he’s been with me now 5 years. It breaks my heart to see him in such pain and I want to get this problem resolved as fast as I can but I can’t do it alone. 
If you can, anything will help get Buddha back to himself again
