Saving Lucky

Meet Lucky! Saturday night around 9:30 pm Kurt and I were driving home from the store and almost hit a small looking dog on highway 41. Knowing the dog was lost and most likely going to get hit, we quickly turned around & parked across the street from where we saw him running. While waiting to cross the street to get to him, we saw another 5 cars get so close to hitting him. Kurt was able to cross the street and use a flashlight to find him and pick him up. We brought him to my car and we’re in shock of the condition he was in. We got him in to a vet as soon as we can this morning after non stop shakes and him being in utter shock of not knowing what’s going on or where he is. He is skin and bones, barely weighing 4 lbs!!! He visibly had a serious eye infection and is severely malnourished but after today’s visit we also learned that has stage 5 dental & gum issues and one of his testicules is pushed up inside of him and in his thigh which will lead to cancer if not removed. His estimated surgery’s, teeth extractions, medication, treatment & vet bills will run us over 2,000 and we just don’t have the funds to support it. We want to get him healthy and take him in and show him what it is to be loved. He was abused and not taken care of at all. Kurt named him Lucky because he got so lucky escaping the horrible life that he was stuck in and for landing in our laps. Please help us get him the help & care he needs and give him the life he deserves! Thanks x a million in advance <3
