Ron McElfresh has long been a member of the Apple and Mac online community, a founder of Mac360.com, and developer of dozens of Apple-oriented websites. He was diagnosed with the debilitating motor neuron disease ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. There is no cure. The prognosis is not good.
Ron completed three weeks of tests at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Due to the nature of the disease and how debilitating it can be, we wanted to help defray some of the travel and medical expenses for what turned out to be a much longer stay for Ron and his wife. Doctors at Mayo Clinic asked him to return in a few months to measure the disease's relentless progress.
