Chemotherapy treatment

In January of 2011 it was found that I have severe chronic neutropenia (SCN).  My white blood cell (WBC) count is critically low, putting me at risk for severe infections, illnesses, and other diseases.  After many, many doctors visits, hundreds of blood draws, 2 bone marrow biopsies, and sleepless nights, the doctors have come to the conclusion that the cause of my SCN is autoimmune.  My immune system is attacking my body rather than helping it.  The only way to slow this process down or stop it all together is to undergo a series of chemotherapy treatments.  I was initially supposed to start this therapy on Friday, August 19, 2011, but my insurance company will not approve the treatment.  So, if I wanted to start the treatment in hopes of being a more healthy and whole person, I must fund the therapy myself.
