Supporting the family of Garth Frank Adams
Donation protected
Garth Frank Adams left this world suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday May 7th. Although he was an imposing figure, standing at 6’8”, Garth was truly a gentle giant. His loud laughter, gentle touch, and kind words will truly be missed by all.
He loved life and sharing life with many of his neighbors, friends, and family. Known for his hunting and fishing skills, Garth loved the outdoors. If he wasn’t boating, he would be fishing. If he wasn’t fishing, he would be hunting. Sadly, many of Garth’s outdoor activities ended about eight years ago after having had the first of many back surgeries.
Garth’s outdoor activities may have been curtailed by his surgeries, but his love of serving others wasn’t. Garth was wonderful at sharing his time and talents when he could. Often Garth was mentoring and teaching his son and his son’s friends how to do the many things he loved. Garth was easy to talk to, but more importantly he was a good listener. You could find Garth walking around the floor of the gym helping those who needed a listening ear.
Being wrapped up in a Garth Hug was like being wrapped in a warm blanket; you just felt comforted. Garth wasn’t afraid to tell you he loved you. Nor was he afraid to tell you how much you meant to him. He was a fierce defender of his faith—a walking example of love and the best things humanity has to offer.
Unfortunately, Garth’s sudden death has left his wife, Sue, and his son, Josh, not only with the medical debts from Garth’s many surgeries but also with the unexpected costs associated with his death. The mortuary charges about $20,000 for all of the services associated with a funeral. The mortuary does not allow that amount to be paid over time but instead requires advance payment before any interment can take place. Sue and Josh just do not have that kind of money right now. Your generosity and help to them would be very much appreciated. All donations will go to Sue Adams.
