Today, not someday. That's the goal.

When the clock struck midnight on January 1st, I knew 2014 was going to be a new adventure. Whatever I did, I wanted to make a difference. And here we are.

On October 12th, I will be running the Chicago Marathon. Laugh if you like, I do. Becuase for the next 8 months there will be sweat, muscle damage, inflammation, stiffness, blisters, and being nauseated. The physical effects of training are nothing in comparison to those diagnosed with cancer.

The reason I'm running a marathon is because I want to run in something that has touched my heart. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society have done many wonderful things to provide assistance to those suffering with this deadly cancer. Money that goes to the Society will invest in research to find a cure. It also will support families by offering car pools, assistance with medical costs, and many more day to day tasks that become difficult. As you can imagine, a lot of money is spent on doctor's costs, medicine, and the sacrifices you need to make in your life to support someone with illness.

I'm asking for you to support a lifelong goal of mine, and to invest in a worthwhile cause. Without your support, I am ineligible to run the race, and we have lost time to find a cure. Today is the day we change the world, and I need your help.
