Caring for Chloe

"For those of you that know me well know that I am not one to ask for prayers but life has thrown a curve ball at us this week and I need whatever help we can get. Our sweet baby Chloe has been diagnosed with a severe type of congenital heart disease. One of the valves in her heart was not fully developed and is causing her heart to back up with blood which has caused more problems in her heart and lungs. She will need the valve repaired/replaced but the time frame on that depends on her respiratory function and how well she does the next few days. The goal is to get her well enough to medically manage her at home until she has time to grow bigger and stronger; this will allow for a more successful and longer lasting repair of the valve.

This will most definitely be a long road for Chloe and our family and Boston Children's hospital will become our home-away-from-home. Cory and I are asking for you, your families and friends to please add us to your prayers, your positive thoughts, and to send as much love to Chloe as you can. Friends...The Dix family needs our help.  They are going to have countless trips to and from Boston and many hurdles along the way.  Boston Children's Hospital will become a new norm for quite some time.  Please think about what you might be able to donate to ease some of the financial stress they will endure in the coming weeks...pray BIG and hold them in your hearts as you decide what seems right for you to contribute.
