Be a good neighbor :)

In the spirit of living by my motto of prioritizing being kind and treating others as you would want to be treated, I would like to raise money for a fellow neighbor. 

I frequently use the Nextdoor app to follow updates on my surrounding community.  There is one individual (who I shall not name here) who posts frequently looking for honest earned work. He has been through many hardships and is always trying to work his hardest to support his wife and very young kids. Recently they have all be in and out of the hospital with a severe case of the flu.

With the holidays coming up, I would really like for this seemingly genuine, loving father to have a little extra spending money for his family. I recall last year that he mentioned any donations of toys  would be greatly appreciated, as they didn’t have the means to purchase new presents for the family. Unfortunately, I believe they spent thanksgiving in the hospital. 

I have never done anything like this before, but think it’s important to act on what you say. I’m always spreading the message to be kind and this is a realistic way to help out a deserving individual. 

Any tiny bit would make a huge difference :) $5, $10... it all adds up. All proceeds will go to this individual. I will privately dm him through the app if the money is raised and can share his response with you all if he’s okay with me sharing his identity. 

He has no idea that this is happening. Hoping for it to be a holiday surprise.
