Fran Ichijo and her husband, Yoshi, have been staples in the Poolesville community for more than twenty years. Many of our children have benefited from Miss Fran's kind and thorough ballet instruction through Hope Garden Ballet. Yoshi has always been right there by her side, helping to make our childrens' performance dreams come true.
We recently learned that Yoshi has been diagnosed with Stag 4 Prostate Cancer. Needless to say, the treatment will come at a great cost, estimated at upwards of $50,000. These are exceptionally challenging times for everyone, but I am asking anyone who can for whatever help you can give. Those of you who know Fran and Yoshi personally know how much they have contributed to our community, especially in bringing the arts to life in Poolesville. They have provided a place of safety and support for so many children and adults alike. Let us please pull together to return that sense of safety and support in their hour of greatest need.
