In July of 2013 my friend Becky was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her bones. She has undergone a double mastectomy and partial hysterctomy in January 2014 and this ruthless cancer has returned, invading her spinal fluid and robbing her of her vision, balance and basic daily functioning.
She is a 35 year old mother of two small childen that had a healthy mother a mere seven months ago. This has been torrential on the family physically, financially and emotionally. Most of us are at a loss as to what to do. What can we do?
We can donate. This has been the only fundraiser set up for Becky, so please know whatever you can donate is going to much needed use. Funds will go to wherever her family sees fit as we do not know what the future holds and what needs arise. Just know that money is needed... to be able to afford extra outings for the children during this time, travel expenses, medication and personal products to make her comfortable and keep her in the best state to battle this evil.
