Help Connor Go To YAGP Ballet Finals/NY

Please Help Me Go to The Youth America Grand Prix Finals!

Hello, my name is Connor Hamilton.  I am 11 years old and my dream is to become a professional ballerina.  I have been taking ballet lessons since I was 2 (I got my start at Patti's All-American) and I am now an apprentice at  Salt Creek Ballet.  I take private lessons almost everyday with my teacher, Zhanna Dubrovskaya (Miss Zhanna was awarded "Outstanding Teacher" at YAGP!) as well as 15 hours of class and 8 or more hours of rehearsal time every week.  Ballet training is very hard but I love every minute of it.  I am homeschooled, which allows me to spend extra time at my ballet studio.  It sounds like I wouldn't have any time left to be a kid but I still manage to enjoy other activities, like drawing, baking and spending time with my friends and family.

On February 28th, I competed in the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Chicago.  I was awarded the Hope Award (Best Overall in the pre-competitive age division).  I performed Aurora's Variation from Sleeping Beauty as well as a contemporary piece called STRIKE.   I have been invited to New York to compete in the finals with kids from all over the world!  I am so excited and promise to continue working very hard.  The finals are April 3-11.  My trip to New York is very expensive so here is where I need your help.  My parents are trying very hard to raise the money for me.  They do so much to help me fullfill my dream.  I am trying to find sponsers but I only have a few weeks until I leave for New York.  My teacher told me that it's better to have 100 friends than 100 dollars.  My parents and I would be so thankful with any help in reaching my goal.  Would you consider donating?  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.  I am not able to offer any prizes or gifts for your donation but I can offer a promise:  I will work very hard to represent the Chicago area with the best of my ability.  If you are unable to donate would you consider sharing this page with others?  Thank you for taking the time to read this.  This is such an amazing opportunity for me and my family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I won first place at the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Indianpolis, IN in 2013.  My variation was from Harlequinade.  You can watch my performance here.
