Temporary help please

It is difficult to start this Go fund me campaign...it's never easy to ask for help. Lorn and I find ourselves in a financial mess at this point in time. Lorn has always been an incredibly strong provider for our little family (including our cats). Lorn was recently diagnosed with DVT and is having major problems with his balance...his blood tests came back ALL extremely low, we don't know what's going on yet but they (Drs) are talking possible blood transfusion and he's waiting to see a specialist in Kingston at the end of august. He went last week for brain and neck scan (no results yet) His liver is enlarged and we're still unsure as to why. He now is unable to work...after 23 years with the same company we are now awaiting some news on whether or not we will receive S.T.D. from his companies insurance provider.
In the meanwhile we were told to sell our home (before he got ill) by his company...his position here is no longer as they've closed his facility and now would be reporting to Mississauga (2 hrs each way drive) We were happy and elated at the prospect of moving closer to family and friends.
Our current home was worked on tirelessly for over a year, sinking all we had into it for resale. We now have on offer (conditional) on our home and have bought a much smaller 9 month occupancy home closer to his new location of employment. It's unsure at this time when/if he will ever be able to return to work. I'm also unable to work and have been for the last few years.
In the meantime (with absolutely no income aside from my very small disability cheque) we need money for medications, food, gas and food for our cats (needless to say another mortgage payment due) Anything would be appreciated (including well wishes) If we are ever able to we would try to pay back whatever we receive.
